Condition grades such as 九成新 ("90% new") are the seller's own description, not a standard. Treat them as a starting point for questions.

Ask the seller before you order, and repeat the request to the warehouse after arrival:
1. Video of the shutter firing at several speeds, including slow speeds. A still photo cannot show a sticky or slow shutter.
2. Photo or video looking through the lens at a bright surface to show haze, fungus (发霉) or dust (灰尘).
3. Light meter check and the battery type it needs; some original cell types are no longer sold.
4. Film advance, rewind and the film door seals in frame.
No photo set proves a camera will produce good images. Budget for a test roll and possible servicing.
3. Battery and shipping restrictions
Many older mechanical cameras use small removable button cells; many later compacts use removable lithium batteries or have batteries built in. Shipping lines treat batteries differently, and some lines refuse parcels containing them or require them to be removed or packed with the device.
Ask your agent which lines accept the camera with or without its battery before you order, and whether the warehouse removes loose batteries. 3. When photos arrive, review them inside the inspection window—see QC photos and the inspection window. If evidence is missing, request it before approving.
4. Ask for protective packing; cameras are dense, so freight is usually based on scale weight rather than volume, but padding adds size. Check with the shipping calculator.
